Affordable Polyaspartic Flake System
Similar to epoxy flake systems that are used in garages, an exterior polyaspartic flake system is a budget-friendly option to bring new life to boring concrete, while making it much easier to maintain and clean. This is a popular solution for front porches, walkways, patios, pool decks, and more.
We start by diamond grinding the concrete. Next, we make any repairs that are needed, and then thoroughly clean the surface. After the surface has been prepped, we apply a clear epoxy vapor barrier to the surface and let that cure. The colored polyaspartic base coat is applied and the decorative flakes are broadcasted into the wet base coat until rejection. The final step is applying a clear polyaspartic topcoat with aluminum oxide mixed in for anti-slip traction. Polyaspartic is used for both the base coat and topcoat because it is UV stable, making it less likely to fade from direct sunlight.
We can apply any decorative flake blends to the concrete, but our favorite blends for exterior concrete are the Terrazzo and Hybrid-Stone collections from Torginol.
