Bring a Beautiful Shine to Your Floors with Polished Concrete

Polished concrete is an attractive and durable solution that strengthens the existing concrete without installing a coating. Polished concrete is achieved by using grinders fitted with metal diamond tooling at the start and then progressively moving towards higher grit resins for the desired shine and smoothness. During the polishing process, we densify the concrete with hardeners which help strengthen the concrete surface. The resulting surface is extremely durable, requires very low maintenance, and can be stained as well for the desired aesthetics.

It is important to note that polished concrete is at the mercy and condition of the existing slab’s condition. If either tile or carpet glue was previously applied, “ghosting” or “ghost lines” will be evident in the finished product. This is something that is very important to mention when speaking with contractors. The only way to avoid ghosting from tile or glue is to pour a polishable overlay on top of the existing slab prior to the polishing process.
